My work draws from the Enneagram, somatic inner journey work, ceremony and earth-based practices. Each offers a different way of exploring what lies beneath the surface and deepening our relationship with ourselves.

These practices can stand on their own or be woven together, depending on where you are and what is calling for your attention.

The work

The enneagram

A sacred map that guides us home

The Enneagram is often introduced as a system of nine personality types. Its wisdom, however, reaches far beyond personality.

It is a dynamic map of human experience, rooted in ancient philosophical and spiritual wisdom and enriched by modern psychology. At its heart is an invitation that has echoed through spiritual and philosophical traditions for centuries: Know thyself.

We often think we know ourselves, yet much of what shapes our experience lies beneath conscious awareness. Our deeper motivations, fears, beliefs and habitual patterns can quietly organize the way we perceive, feel and respond to life. Until we begin to see them, they continue to operate automatically.

The Enneagram gives us a way into this hidden terrain. It helps make visible what has been unconscious, revealing not only what we do, but what is driving our patterns beneath the surface. And the deeper we go, the more there is to discover. After nearly twenty years of studying the Enneagram, I continue to uncover new layers in my own inner landscape.

Yet the Enneagram does more than illuminate our personality and its patterns. It shows us where we have lost contact with our True Nature and points toward the way back.

My work with the Enneagram goes beyond identifying your type. I work deeply with the instincts and subtypes, which reveal important differences in how each personality structure is expressed and experienced. In this way, the Enneagram becomes much more than a system for understanding ourselves. It becomes a living map for the inner journey — helping us see what is asking for our attention and where the path of transformation may be leading us.

To know ourselves, we have to move beyond understanding ourselves with the mind alone.

We can recognize our patterns, understand where they came from and even know what we would like to change, yet still find ourselves living the same familiar ways of being. Insight is important, but there are places within us we cannot reach through intellect and reason alone.

The body offers another way in.

Our experiences and patterns live not only in our thoughts, but in sensation, emotion, impulse and the deeper layers of the unconscious. When we slow down and bring our attention inward, the body can become a doorway into what has been held outside our awareness.

Somatic inner journey work allows us to meet what we find there through direct experience rather than analysis alone. Through embodied awareness, imagery, guided and interactive inner journeying and other experiential practices, we can listen more deeply to what is emerging and allow something new to unfold.

For me, the body is not only a place where we encounter our conditioning or what needs healing. It is also a doorway to our deeper knowing, our essential nature and the sacred.

The journey of knowing ourselves asks us not only to understand more, but to descend beneath the surface — out of the head and into the body, where another kind of knowing becomes possible.

In relationship with the living world

Earth-based traditions remind us that we are not separate from nature. We belong to a living world that is intelligent, guided by natural rhythms and continually moving toward balance.

In my own practice, I relate to the natural world not simply as something beautiful or restorative, but as an ally and teacher. Plants, animals and the more-than-human world can invite us into different ways of listening and knowing, reminding us of relationships that modern life can make easy to forget.

I am particularly drawn to the wisdom contained within nature’s cycles of growth, death, decomposition and renewal. Mushrooms offer a powerful image of this. In the forest, fungi help break down what has completed its life and transform it into nourishment for what comes next. I have come to understand this process as a meaningful metaphor for inner work as well: some of what we carry is ready to be broken down, transformed and returned to the larger cycle of life.

My own path has been deeply shaped by ceremony, earth-based practices and experiences with plant medicine. These have strengthened my relationship with nature, the body, the unconscious and the sacred, and continue to inform the way I understand healing and transformation.

Plant medicine experiences can sometimes bring us into contact with material that is difficult to access through ordinary awareness. Yet the experience itself is only one part of the journey. What happens before and after matters — how we prepare, how we meet what arises, how we make meaning of what emerges, and how we integrate what we have encountered into the way we actually live.

This is also where the different strands of my work come together. The Enneagram can offer a map for understanding the patterns and deeper material that emerge, while somatic awareness helps us stay in relationship with the body and our direct experience rather than trying to understand everything through the mind alone.

My work includes preparation and integration support through an Enneagram and somatic lens, as well as support for those exploring microdosing within their own personal or spiritual inquiry.

At the heart of this work is not the pursuit of extraordinary experiences, but a deepening relationship with ourselves, the natural world and the sacred — and bringing what we discover back into ordinary life.

Ceremony & earth-based practises

"a ceremony is energy moving toward the goal of harmony."

“I came to Anna having been experiencing anxiety, depression, a lack of motivation, and no follow through. Although I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was open to personal growth and was curious about the Enneagram. The tools and strategies she gave me were so effective in overcoming my anxiety and everything went so smoothly that I almost forgot how nervous I had been to go [to the event]! It was EPIC!

In our short time together, I’ve learned so much about myself and feel like I’ve grown a lot as a person. Anna is a very authentic person. She is very kind and compassionate. I'm looking forward to continuing our Enneagram coaching sessions and I really appreciate everything."
